Parallel
youkobo ART SPACE (Tokyo, May 2011)
Taking place just after the Tohoku earthquake, this exhibition showcased pieces that were displayed at The Ueno Royal Museum alongside my newer work. I intended to name the exhibition Parallel after the concepts of diversity and multiplicity, but after witnessing the events following the earthquake that felt like something out of a novel or a film, the title coincidentally took on an additional meaning of wandering into a parallel universe.
