DOUBLE HELIX
M-Gallery (Ashikaga, March 2022)
We all have rich imaginations. Events that occur in distant places, or the properties and structures of objects that are massive or microscopic in size—these things can’t be seen by the naked eye, but by tracing small hints and linking them together, we’re able to comprehend them. Somethings can’t be expressed in one dimension. However, when captured through a multifaceted approach and linked through juxtaposition, lines begin to join together and it becomes possible to create new interpretations that are as flexible as a helix. I believe this relates to the core of our being. Leaving hypocrisies as they are and connecting with each other, even though we may never mesh together. I’m seeking out the kinds of expressions that can lead us to respect each other’s perspectives and values on a deeper level.
