私たちは豊かな想像力を持っています。目では見ることのできない、遠く離れた場所での出来事、巨大な、あるいは極小のモノの性質や構造など、僅かなヒントをイメージによって、つなぎ合わせて、理解し把握することができます。一面的では、捉えることができないものを、多面的に捉え、それらを配列し結びつけることで、あるときは、曲線を結び、螺旋のように柔軟で、新たな捉え方を生み出すことも可能となります。それは、私たちの根幹とも通じています。決して混ざりあえなくとも、矛盾を矛盾のままに置き、接続すること。さまざまな視点と価値観を、互いに尊重し合えるような表現を、私は今日に求めています。
