A group show of five contemporary painters, this special exhibit asked of both the artist and the audience to pay attention to the work even more deeply. The works I chose to exhibit here were centered around the search for a relationship between the texture of the paint and the movement of the brush and color. Again, my work was paired with a classic piece both as a reference of the lineage of painting but also as something for contrast, as a way to illustrate the shift in dynamic, process, and expression over time.
