Silent Topology
M-Gallery (Ashikaga, July 2020)
My work is characterized by the use of diverse, vivid colors that, nevertheless, give off the impression of a unified whole. The relationship between color and brushstroke, and the whole and the particular, present both incongruence and integration. Work that is considered difficult to grasp face rejection at times, but I believe that they have the potential to convey new values and meaning, so long as the artist endeavors to prove it and achieve an appeal. Taking clues from the optical illusion books of my childhood, in this exhibition I wanted to embody the sensation of uncovering fascinating findings from something obscure.
