I am highly honored to have the opportunity to install my artwork on the storefront wall of "Nagomu Kashi Nakamata" in conjunction with the inaugural Maebashi International Art Festival 2026. It is a great privilege to exhibit my work during this special occasion where the city of Maebashi and art intersect.
Just as a gift of Japanese traditional sweets can spark lively family conversation, a small catalyst can unexpectedly brighten and enrich our daily lives. I hope that artwork can function in a similar way—expanding senses that were previously unnoticed and offering subtle yet fresh inspiration.
For this project, I painted on a vinyl sheet, challenging myself to create a piece that can withstand outdoor exhibition. This is also an experimental attempt to see what kind of new interactions and changes will emerge by introducing an unfamiliar painting into Maebashi’s familiar shopping street.
I hope you will enjoy new perspectives and discoveries within the everyday cityscape, as if stepping into an alternative world line.
