EARTH+GALLERY（2016年6月・東京）
雪や砂の上に残る足跡や形跡から、そこに在った情景が伝わることがあるように、私の描く絵画も、そこから立ちのぼる陽炎のように、私と言う在り方が伝わるものでありたい。
私は、海がある町で育った。今は戻る場所の無い母の実家である。よく近くの漁港から伸びる防波堤の先端で海を眺めた。水平線から果てし無く押し寄せる波の畝りが、いつまでもいつまでも続く光景。留まらない揺らぎは今日の私の中にも波打っている。
現れては消え、消えては現れる明滅のような感触を手掛かりに、そこから生れ出る今日の表現を模索している。

作品とは、その作家の「在り方」を伝えるものである、と信じています。今日では戻る場所の無い故郷も私の記憶の中で息づいていて、おそらく、それは無意識のうちに色彩や表現となって現れてきているように思います。その明滅するような不確かな感触を表現したいと思いました。
