SEZON ART SHOP （2022年9月・横浜）
「落ち着きのなさ」と「まとまりのなさ」。私はどうも小さい頃から、これらの感覚と向き合うことが多い。決して中心がないわけではない。でもその軸が、微妙にズレているのか、あるいは複数あるのか。自分自身をどのように説明すれば良いのかが判らず、苦しみ悩むことが多い。1998年に美術大学に入学し、本格的に絵を描き始めた。当時、セルフ・アイデンティティが、絵を描く上で重要なことに気付いたのだが、それをうまく表現できなかった。まとまりがないことをまとめるには、まだ経験と力不足だったように思う。今回の展示の前半「side one」では、そのようなまだ初々しい大学時代の2 点を出品し、その後の 2014年までの作風の変化を大まかではあるが、辿るような展示を心がけた。
