一面的な視点の中では、見えないものがあります。NYで開催した個展で現地のコレクターたちが、自身の価値観で作品を評価する姿勢から、個人の主観の重要性について、改めて考える機会を得ました。またコロナの蔓延が重なり、個人と社会全体の在り方について、奇しくも考えさせられるタイミングにもなりました。多種多様な主張が散在する互いに区別された今日の状況の中で、本当に見るべき本質とは何であるのか？そのような個々の側面だけではない、全体的な結び付きの重要性を意識した時、多様性への探求の中で、今回出品の一連の作品と「多面体」というシリーズが生まれました。
